"From the Hart" with Lauren Manis is definitely from the heart.

Holy Cross' Lauren Manis.
If you want to read something that really spells out what it felt like to have your four-year collegiate basketball season end abruptly, read this first-person account from Holy Cross' Lauren Manis, the former Bishop Feehan High School standout.

Manis, who became the only Holy Cross basketball player of either gender to score 2,000 career points and grab 1,000 rebounds this season, speaks openly and emotionally about the sudden cancellation of the Patriot League Tournament because of the coronavirus crisis -- and more about how it impacted her and her teammates as a family than about the impact it had upon her personally.

You can find Lauren's missive at https://tinyurl.com/rbrc42b.

And I'm also pleased to announce that the talented Ms. Manis will be my guest for Episode 20 of The Owner's Box, my podcast, which will be recorded early next week. She was not only one of the best players in local basketball history and a record-setter as a collegian, but many in the know believe that we haven't seen the best basketball from her yet. I'm really looking forward to chatting at length with her.
