The new "official" logo.

What you see above is the new "official" logo for The Owner's Box, my six-month-old podcast (which is available on almost all major podcasting platforms as well as on links on this blog). I asked seven trusted individuals to choose from among five different font treatments for the second line, and five of them chose the typewriter font as their preference.

I kind of like that, because it does reference my former career as a sportswriter -- and yes, I did start in the era of typewriters. The four other fonts didn't suck -- one of them was the same font used on those signs in the Notre Dame stadium's runway that say, "Play like a champion today." -- but there's a synergy between the font of the first line (which resembles the numbers on traditional uniforms) and the reference to a 50-year reporting career represented in the second line.
